All for reusing and reinventing stuff already around the house, but I really don't like the look of this. I prefer to keep my kitchen towels in a drawer. Most of them are fit for display anyways..

I second the "not fit for display" dish towel thought. On another note, I LOVE the island and chair!!!!

Yeah, I wouldn't do dish towels, but in the right space I could see doing this with cloth napkins since it could have a bit of an art feel to the display.

Thanks for the idea, but I also wouldn't want to display my kitchen towels. Storage is a bit tight in my home but the odors from cooking and natural dust collection lends me to want to store them in a drawer. But thanks for the idea.
