Last week, food bloggers were talking a little more than usual about food blogs worldwide. Why? Saveur magazine just came out with their list of the 55 Great Global Food blogs. Have you seen this list? And are your favorites listed?
The list, Worldwide Feast, included familiar favorites like Australia's What Katie Ate , Germany's The Wednesday Chef and France's David Lebovitz.

But in the list of 55 blogs that Saveur deemed created by "writers [who] are committed to celebrating regional recipes, restaurants, techniques, and ingredients," we discovered a few new favorites. For example, we're loving Canadian blog Drawn and Devoured for the lovely illustrations and smart writing. Or how about Israeli blog, My Mom's Recipes, dedicated to Chanita Harel's mother's kitchen.
We'd love to know about your favorites: who would you add to Saveur's list?

I live in Stockholm but am from India, Miami and New York, and am trying to recreate meals from my past, while exploring Swedish and other intriguing cuisines as well.

So disappointed that there wasn't a single blog about Chinese food! Granted, people in China might not exactly have freedom of speech, but still, quite surprised that such a large country/food group was left out.
Here are the Israeli ones (in English) that I like to read:

It's a shame no Irish blogs were mentioned. One worth checking out is Donal Skehan's, who started off as a blogger a few years ago but who has now written two cookbooks and has a third due out next year with HarperCollins. He also currently has his own TV show airing here too. You can find him at http://www.donalskehan.com/.
