Wonton wrappers get a bad rap (pun intended). Plenty of people only use them for cuisines of a certain background and forget about them the rest of the time. These little gems are actually quite useful no matter the background of the cuisine you're preparing.
In the mood for low-calorie tacos tonight? No problem! Grab turkey, lettuce, tomato and yes, wonton wrappers — they make perfect taco shells. Or maybe you're in the mood for lasagna but don't feel like making enough to feed the entire neighborhood — grab your muffin pan and some wonton wrappers! The wrappers will ensure perfect miniature lasagna for the family.
Mozzarella sticks are certainly a lot easier to make at home using wonton wrappers and a lot less messy too. It's really quite interesting all that wonton wrappers can be used for. Here are 5 fun uses:

Elizabeth Apron fro...

I have made the recipe from Taste of Home's mozzarella sticks... SO AMAZING! Double-dipped in ranch and marinara :) Truly American.
Great ideas!! Thank you!
Another good way to use them: http://www.food.com/recipe/mini-tacos-74301
I wanted to know how they made those wontons into perfect little circle bowls for crab salad croustades, but the recipe doesn't use wonton. It uses pre-packaged Rahm's croustades.
They are good for mini desserts too, using them as a "pastry crust". Fill with something sweet, spray the wrapper with a little cooking spray to help them brown, and bake.
I like to make what I call "lazy wontons" by filling them with nothing but Italian sausage then frying them up. Surprisingly good!
Fill 'em up with a dollop of cream cheese and then fry them for some easy and delicious appetizers.
Thanks for these great ideas!
They also make quick ravioli. I fill them with a pumpkin-ricotta mixture. Freezes well, too.
I love wonton wrappers! You can get so many different textures by frying, baking or boiling. My favorite uses are baked pizza bites and wonton soup made with broccoli slaw. Yum.
Looks delish. The lasagnas look really good.
I'm going to try those wonton chips! Such a simple recipe and there's something extra special about homemade crackers.

I've tried the wonton wrapped mozzarella only I added a slice of salame into the wrap, al la Guy on Big Bite. It was yummy. I have also done the teaspoon of cream cheese with the addition of a teaspoon of guava paste in the middle of the wonton, folded it in a triangle and fried it up... My son was in love with it. Wonton has a hundred possibilities.
potato bacon bombs
-make mashed potatoes with a little cheese and add bacon bits
-fill wonton wrapper like an eggroll and fry
-dip in sour cream if you like
-die from heart attack and deliciousness
I'm based in Beijing, so I'm not sure if the ones I'm using are different, but they're amazing for ravioli. You can also use them for a more fluttery than usual tortellini.
