I used the Happy Birthday candles for my boyfriend's birthday a few weeks ago-- they melted before I could take the ten paces from kitchen to living room! Would not buy again.

I made a crepe cake for my birthday a few years ago and it was really really laborious, much more than baking a regular cake from scratch. We made it the night before and the filling saturated the crepes so it lost a lot of the texture I was hoping for. Next time, I'll make the crepes ahead and assemble that day.
