mmm, that breakfast banana split looks awesome, and filling!
for breakfast company, i like making a dutch baby (oven pancake) by prepping it the night before.. i combine the dry ingredients in the bowl of a food processor and leave them there, put the skillet in the oven with butter in it, and the wet ingredients in a pyrex cup in the fridge. it literally takes 5 minutes to throw it together in the morning for an impressive breakfast that really wows your guests.
Breakfast week! I can't wait!
Oh, and what a great suggestion, Irene. Perfect if you're just hosting one or two houseguests.
Avocado pudding, sounds delicious. My boyfriend is a huge avocado fan, so I'll have to try it!
Where is a recipe for GRITS? The staple of Southern Breakfasts. I like mine with melted provolone cheese and a few dollops of yogurt with some of the fruit from the bottom.
I love makeahead breakfast!
Breakfast sandwiches in a muffin tin are easy. Found this tip on Lifehacker. You bake the filling in muffin tins, then when you're ready to eat, you just reheat and sandwich between toasted English muffins. Delicious.

I also usually have my rice cooker full of rice. One of the things I used to eat for breakfast as a kid was rice seasoned with a bit of soy sauce and sesame oil and sesame seeds, wrapped in pieces of seasoned, toasted geem (Korean for seaweed, aka nori). Very simple. You could also just fry an egg and eat it over rice.
Please, include some lighter breakfast recipes in this week too! Love eggs, but my stomach doesn't support them in the morning.
Now I really want a banana split. A real one. With ice cream. For breakfast.
freezer breakfast burritos!

This is what I've started having for breakfast and it's delicious and very filling.
Protein/Banana Shake
1/2 cup skim milk
1 scoop protein powder (I use Promasil Vanilla)
1-2 tbs greek yoghurt
1 banana, chopped
2-3 ice cubes
Put that all in the magic bullet or blender and mix.
So good!
This all sounds good, but none can beat your recipe for pumkin steel cut oatmeat. That has to be the greatest tasting oatmeat I have EVER had!! Thanks
I love muffins in the morning, especially when I heat it up quickly in the oven. I made these raspberry blueberry muffins recently and they were the best muffins I've ever eaten....highly recommended!
THANK you! Yes, we love breakfast :) And we don't always have the frame of mind to plan for it properly...
All of these recipes look scrumptious! I'm going to try the overnight oatmeal, tonight! I have a favorite that you can make ahead or not. These freeze beautifully, too, so great for company. http://tinyurl.com/7sv3v4a
I skip breakfast all too often. This is fabulous inspiration!
I think photos 3 and 4 are mixed up?
