TW Salt Mill by Wil...

You know, I look at those "breakfasts" and think: 15 minutes sugar high, crash, and munchies all day.
Those are nice treats, but most of them are not "breakfasts".
I'm more of a savory breakfast person - lately, have been roasting a pan of potatoes (sweet, red skin, both - whatever is around) and a bit of onion over the weekend whenever the oven is on, scrambling a couple of eggs, and throwing it in a small container. Reheats in a minute in the microwave at work, and a couple of potatoes is enough for 3 or 4 days of breakfast. Not quite grab-and-go, but easy and filling.
I couldn't agree more with Willow_kender. Just browsing through the recipes made my blood sugar spike. Love baking but some more balanced selection in the breakfast options would be appreciated.
Where's the protein? :(
So glad to see I'm not the only person whose pancreas is having a seizure at the sight of this list.

I'm a big fan of the steel cut oatmeal in mason jars.
I'm always looking for breakfast baked goods, but I can't take the sugar load here.
If you want a quick protein breakfast, I suggest you boil or bake an egg. (Sprinkling of grated cheese and/or minced herbs, optional.)
wow, those all look like dessert to me....
So maybe it's not the best choice for breakfast but I am loving the idea of those Banana Bread Scones paired with some scrambled eggs and coffee. Those are getting made this Christmas weekend for sure!
What happened to fruit salads, yogurt and granola?
