There's nothing better than serving up a fresh, homemade soup than doing so in a homemade vessel. It makes the meal and the serving pieces themselves created with love and passion. We've rounded up 15 of our favorite pieces, including a few that are a little — well odd.
We have a personal love for the odd mugs decorated as people. Though it might seem strange to sip a soup from the head of a person, they just make us giggle. Which ones are your favorite? Make sure to let us know in the comments!

Those are some beautiful soup bowls there. Using those would perk up any cold winter day.
So there has been a little chit chat in my family about having a soup-off for maybe next christmas. The biggest stopping point is serving though. We would have to have some sort of partitioned bowls. Anyone have any suggestions for bowls or such that would work like that?
Also is it possible to get soup-ed out? I'm working on my 3rd straight month of pretty much nothing but soup for myself and I'm worried.
Love the vegan one and the gorgeous lucky bird one.
What a comforting feeling!! Hot soup in a handmade bowl. Love it!
loudly quiet, could you use some small paper cups for each soup? Preferrably ones that arent wax lined. You may be able to find something appropriate at a restaurant supply.
I just wanted to remind everyone that if using handmade bowls, it is always wise to test for lead in the glazing. You can get a test kit at Lowes or Home Depot for 5 dollars, and it will really save your brain if you have a tainted bowl.
loudlyquiet: You can find foam cups with sipping lids and sleeves in packs of 20? 30? at Costco. Not eco friendly, but quite useful.
But how do you carry 3-4 cups plus bread and carrots down stairs to the kids table? The best solution I've come up with is mugs you could hold maybe 3 of them and a small plate.
I may have to give in and just lobby for one soup which might be enough of a difficult thing to start with.
you can make a lot of these yourself. there are paints and markers that you can use on already fired ceramic and porcelain, i use pebeo 150. you paint/draw on your design, let it dry for 24 hours, then bake the pieces in your oven for about 35 mintues. super easy, and the results are great
here's a link to the markers

@loudlyquiet: shot glasses or teacups for tasting. I recall a post using the shot glasses for a "soup appetizer" or similar for a cocktail party.
loudlyquiet, you could put each set of cups, shot glasses, or other ingenious soup delivery tool onto a small side plate. Better yet, into a bigger bowl. Once everyone has tasted each soup, they could fill up their big bowl with their favorite soup from your soup-off.
