Even those who claim to not like chocolate — still like it in one form or another. Personally, we'd rather have a chocolate dessert instead of a straight up chocolate bar, but it's not often we come face to face with one we don't like. We've rounded up 10 of our favorite ways to sneak a little chocolate into our daily routines, some are simple and sweet while others are extra rich and super sinful!
We don't always need an entire chocolate cake to cure our craving, so below are a few recipes that really hit home the chocolate taste when paired with other flavors. Don't worry we included a few that are for the serious chocoholics as well!
Top Row, Left To Right
• Chocolate Bourbon Truffle-Turtle Tart: This tart popped up awhile back during our Pie Bake Off contest and it's been in the back of our minds ever since, delicious!
• Vegan Chocolate Ginger Orange Cupcakes: These cupcakes are dead simple to whip up, even at the last minute. They're perfect for guests of all gastronomical walks of life and taste so good you'll never make another chocolate cupcake again.
• Toffee Cookies with Dark Chocolate Glaze: These petite bites have soothing flavors in a small package. Perfect for snacking, guests or even movie night while snuggled up on the sofa.
• Chocolate Mousse with Olive Oil and Sea Salt: If you're looking for a new dessert to try out this summer, make it this one and we promise you'll thank us later!
• Chocolate Toffee Matzo Candy: Although this dessert is often seen around the winter holidays, there's no reason it can't be eaten any day of the year. It's simple to assemble and provides lots of tasty treats without having to rotate sheet pans every 7 minutes like you do for cookies!
Bottom Row, Left To Right
• Cake Love's Chocolate Butter Cake with Pastry Cream & Italian Buttercream: This cake is chocolate, upon chocolate, upon chocolate! Meow!
• Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream: This fresh mint ice cream is studded with slivers of chocolate, just waiting for a waffle cone and a walk on the boardwalk — or maybe just a game of frisbee outside!
• Chocolate Bouchons from Thomas Keller: How can you refuse a bite sized chocolate cake? The answer is simple — you can't!
• Chocolate Whiskey Pots de Crème: This recipe has a big name with very little ingredients, perfect for showing off without having to do a great deal of legwork.
• Dark Chocolate Walnut Cookies: These are the cookies you take just a few of to be a lady and then later sneak back into the kitchen when no one's looking for a few more... or the whole plate!

My personal fave for a chocolate fix is a batch of Dorie Greenspan's 'world peace' cookies:

And because they're icebox cookies you can keep the unbaked logs in the freezer and slice off a cookie or two whenever you're feeling particularly in need of freshly-baked salty-sweet chocolatey goodness.
or if you're feeling incredibly lazy and all you have left in your candy-stash drawer is a handful of the plain milk chocolate hershy's miniatures - try using one to scoop a lil peanut butter out of the jar. incredibly (surprisingly) satisfying.
Oh wow, that turtle tart looks outstanding.
I made a Microwave chocolate cake in 2 minutes for Mother's Day!!! I also made a chocolate "ice-cream-like" frosting. The best part is that I made it with only the ingredients I had at home.
Perfect for impatient chocoholics out there!!

Scroll a little and you will find the recipe and link in English.
you gotta try thiss!!
I have sixty POUNDS of different flavored dark chocolate from Theo here in Seattle. I am desperate for ways to use it up! This should put a (small) dent in my stash.
Oh Renai Marie... I envy you, I wish I was in that predicament LOL
I had the ultimate chocolate dessert at a restaurant called St. Francis last night: chocolate brownie with peanut butter swirls, topped with caramel ice cream and handmade caramel corn.
That said, those chocolate-ginger cupcakes are sounding good.
Is it just me, or do the pictures and links not match up?
I sometimes feel like the only woman in the US who really doesn't care for chocolate. I am not a sweets person generally, and I will go out of my way to avoid chocolate.
lemonader - It should be fixed now, thanks!
I had to bookmark all of these recipes! Wish I had seen them before Mother's Day.
A small correction: Chocolate Toffee Matzoh Candy is a Passover (spring) treat. Of course it's yummy any time of year, but matzoh is "seen around the winter holidays" about as often as colored eggs and Peeps.
pic #1 has me drooling....omg I wish it was Christmas time. :[ I love baking tons of different evil goodies.
Mmmmm I want to eat all of these. Now. yum!
Whoever made that chocolate tart... how did you cut such a perfect piece for that picture?!
I'll take a lemon or coconut dessert over a chocolate one anyday!
IMJustSaying - That would be the traditional time it's eaten, but this dessert is featured every winter holiday season quite heavily. I didn't make that super clear... because you're right, there are no Easter bunnies at Christmas (or something like that!).
The way I get my chocolate fix? One or two squares of Lindt dark chocolate, eaten ever so slooooowwwwllllly. Hits the spot every time. The more interesting flavours go an even lonhger way than straight dark chocolate. (My favorite three are Orange & Almond / Hint of Chili / Sea Salt) So awesome.
Or..... chocolate covered coffee beans.
Mmm, there's always a bit of flexibility for some chocolate. My husband's favourite is chocolate chip cookies with everything, which are chunky and chewy, literally with everything.
Chipotle Flourless Chocolate Cake (thank you Garrett McCord of Vanilla Garlic) via Elise at Simply Recipes. Even people who don't like chocolate lo-o-ove this cake. Easy-peasy and so good it must be bad...as in evil.
