While slow cookers are perfectly fine to use all year round, people start to get excited about using this trendy appliance in fall. Slow-cooker meals provide warmth and comfort, and are generally time-savers. They are perfect for stews, soups, and easy chicken dinners. They are also easy to clean.

Looking for inspiration for your next slow-cooker meal? I asked 10 popular bloggers to share the top slow-cooker recipes from their site. I wasn't surprised to find that a lot of the recipes ended up being simple, meat-heavy recipes. There are also some delicious soups and one three-ingredient dessert that sounds like magic.

5. Slow-Cooker Broccoli and Cheese Soup from Well Plated

The second it gets a bit chilly outside, this cheesy soup needs to be in your slow cooker. It's mostly a set-it-and-forget-it kind of meal, but you do need to blend it afterwards for optimal texture.

6. Seasoned Chicken, Potatoes, and Green Beans from The Magical Slow Cooker

Chicken and vegetables strike again with this slow-cooker recipe. The vinaigrette that gets poured over the chicken, however, makes the recipe a little more special.

7. Slow-Cooker Thai Chicken Soup from Foodie Crush

I've seen this recipe floating around the internet for a couple years now. It seems to be in almost every slow-cooker roundup (Kitchn even featured it in 2013). This recipe seems super comforting for winter with all the spices and coconut milk.

8. Crock Pot Honey-Garlic Chicken from Diethood

This chicken is covered in honey, soy sauce, sesame seeds, and a whole bunch of spices. I feel like this would be great with some roasted vegetables or a simple side salad.

9. Slow-Cooker Buffalo Chicken Chili from Slow Cooker Gourmet

This recipe has three very important things going on that will make it super popular: Buffalo wing sauce, chicken, and slow cooker. It's a trifecta that nobody can resist — not even you.

You only need three ingredients to make this cobbler. That's it! Peaches, cake mix, and butter. Of course this recipe is going to be super popular — it's just too easy to make.
