- What makes your small kitchen so cool?
- I love how bright and colorful my kitchen is. When I chose the green color it first scared me, but after painting 3 coats, it really works. I have accessories in every color of the rainbow and dishes to match. Being a food blogger, www.mangotomato.com, I like buying one or two of each dish instead of a matching set.
- Describe a challenge you've overcome or a smart resource you've found for your kitchen.
- Space is limited, so I use the side of my refrigerator to hang measuring cups and spoons, peelers, and a container to hold a small notebook and a few pens. I've also mounted a magnetic knife holder on one of the walls.
- What's your favorite meal to cook here?
- I just finished making a pasta dish with ground lamb, broccoli rabe, fresh tomatoes and mozzarella, and red pepper flakes. Had a few friends for lunch and they loved it as much as I did.

Love the paint color and the idea of hanging the cooking tools on the fridge. However, it since it is such a small space, the dark cabinets seem to make it feel too cave-like. I would have painted them white or cream to lighten things up a bit.
This kitchen is too dark for my liking. However I believe the owner has had great cooking moments in it.
I'm so happy my submission got included. Thank you! The cabinets were brand new when I moved in, so I didn't want to paint then. Keep in mind I took the photos without overhead light to avoid getting a glare ;)

Shell, the kettle is from OXO. It makes a super loud noise when the water is boiled ;)
ooh, i looked it up and oxo have an awesome range... alas, i'm in the uk! it woulda fit right in in my kitchen (i'm over in the international division) :0)

Hi! The bookshelf is actually something I purchased from a friend who no longer used it and decided it'd be a great display for my Le Creuset.
I like the cabinets. I personally dislike white/beige kitchens. This is one of the only truly small kitchens in this contest. I think it's a great use of space
