Q: I would like to find a kitchen soap dispenser that doesn't involve pushing a button or using pressure from your hands or fingers to get the soap to come out. I have arthritis in my hands and the button types are too hard for me to use.
My previous one (Libman) was about 5" tall, stood upright, soap came out of the brushhead, which unscrewed to put the soap in, and had a rubber gasket inside with slits that kept the soap from coming out too fast. It appears to have been discontinued now. If anyone knows of something similar that doesn't require pressure from your fingers or hands, I would appreciate it.

Editor: Joan, we would love to find you a good dish scrubber or dispenser, but we are at a loss here. We use this Full Circle scrubber but it does have a button that helps push out the soap.
Readers, do you have any suggestions for Joan and her washing up supplies?

Hi Joan,
Chef'n makes a scrub brush that slips onto your hand (check out thekitchn article on the Chef'n Palm Peeler: it looks like this, but is a brush rather than a peeler). Combine that with an automatic soap dispenser, perhaps?
Maybe just forget about the automatic dispensing? Keep your dish liquid in a bowl and just dip your scrubber into it as needed?
Simplehuman makes an automatic soap dispenser that is powered by a sensor: http://www.simplehuman.com/products/soap-pumps/sensor-soap-pump.html.
I've always used one similar to that in the photo (and what you describe) made by O'Cedar or Quickie Called suds and sponge or sudsy scrubber.

As you said, they have replaceable sponge heads. I only like the cellulose ones and those were getting hard to find so I ended up just ordering a case of them online.
Not sure if these are available in the US but they are amazing! No button to push and the sponge has a great texture that cleans well and outlasts all others by far.
My local store stopped carrying them and then one day they returned mysteriously. I almost did a jig in the aisle!
