Q: I'm throwing a birthday party for a friend, and she's requested sherbet punch specifically.

Any ideas? I want something that's delicious, spike-able, and not the syrupy sweet maraschino-laden nuclear green church lady punches of my youth.

Editor: This is a tough one! Adding sherbet to almost anything is guaranteed to give you a sticky sweet drink by default.

Readers, what would you suggest? Have you ever made this punch over for a more modern drink? Or would you just go with the retro-ness of it all?
