Bacsac Bacsquare 04...

I think those bacon hearts would be good with some brown sugar sprinkled on them.
The bacon heart just seems like a terrible juxtaposition, because the best thing you could do for your heart is to lay off the fatty bacon....
Yes! Heart-shaped food! I love sharing the love on Valentine's through food! I made some cute foodie gift labels to share with fellow Valentine bakers and cooks! (http://www.tar-tryin.com/?p=584)
These all look pretty good, but it is a huge pet peeve of mine when people make soft "pretzels" with baking soda. They may be tasty, but I have honestly pretty much never seen baking soda pretzels that were actually pretzel-y; they always just end up being salty bread that doesn't have that amazing pretzel taste. If you aren't using lye in your pretzels, and they down have that chewy soft dark brown crust, please just don't call them pretzels.
I had my heart broken pretty badly last year by a bakery stand at my local farmers market selling me a "pretzel" for like 4 bucks that just tasted like normal rustic white bent into a pretzel shape topped with salt, and ever since I am apparently overly-sensitive on this topic. Blgh.
(for reference, this is a real pretzel)
