Hotdish! Alright, who's from Minnesota around here?!
I'd never even heard of that phrase until I moved to Minneapolis and now I live in a neighborhood that holds an annual Hotdish Contest.
Those hot dish carriers are nothing new to me! We called them casserole carriers in KY, and my greatgrandmother made them. :)
Hotdish = casserole. As a native North Dakotan living in New York, I know that "hotdish" sounds a little strange, but it makes much more sense linguistically than "casserole," which comes from the French.
Besides, the Etsy seller lives in Minnesota. She gets to name her stuff.
It is also SOLD OUT!!! Which makes me so sad... Anyone know how much it was listed for? Might have to e-mail her and request one.
