The egg cozy reminds me of a Martha Stewart article where you could make them out of felt in the shape of little yellow chicks.
The Ritz in Paris used to have a dessert that had a thin micron of gold on top. Can't remember actual dish as it's been 40 years ago. I didn't have it. Even then, I preferred to wear my gold.
I'm really curious as to what bouquet of chemicals it takes to "paint" something gold. Can't be very good for you.
