I finally saw Fantastic Mr. Fox, and now I just have to bake up a batch of these cookies! Those plus an awesome lunchbag, and more, below.

OH MY GOD THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE NUTMEG GINGER APPLE SNAPS RECIPE. YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW HAPPY THIS MAKES ME. WOW. WOW. WOW. WOOOOOWWWWWW!
(sorry. i love that movie with every ounce of my being.)
1) Those cookies look awesome!
2) Those waxed canvas lunch bags last forever, I have had one for around 20 years now and it is still water resistant and easy to clean.
Just wanted to share that I tried this apple snap recipe last month, and that they were tasty, but not very snappy- more soft and bendy. If you want them to be more gingersnap-like in texture (like me), I'd search around for a couple other recipes to compare/adjust the ratio of butter to dry ingredients...
That "festive cake" (sweet bread, it looks like) seems fantastic. But you have to hit (?) it 200 times?
That seems like a lot of work.
