hmmm, I always eat the stems of my greens. Doesn't everyone?
SoSue - I eat them too, although I do usually separate the stems and sometimes even start cooking them before the rest of the green, because they can take longer to soften.
I agree: I love the stems! Half of the fun of eating, say, red Swiss chard is in the color and texture of the stems.
That sushi article isn't 100% authentic (several tips say to do things in ways Japanese people don't), but it's a good guide for a first-time sushi eater, I guess.
