Fans of this classic ice cream scoop swear by it and won't use any other. This aluminum scoop has heat conductive fluid sealed in the handle, making every scoop smooth and easy.
Not dishwasher safe.
I have my grandparents' Zeroll scoop from the ice cream shop they ran in the 1930s. I've never needed to use any other scoop.
Thank you for reminding me of this. My in-laws have one and I love it. ::click:: I just purchased one for myself.
After purchasing a few scoops and bending spoons early in our marriage, we got a Zeroll. It works as well now as it did when we got it 20some years ago.I'm starting to think this would make a great little wedding shower gift. It seems that unless you're lucky like dayna and inherit one, it's something that everyone eventually needs and ends up buying for themselves.
I would buy this in a heartbeat if someone made it in stainless steel, and without the anti-freeze inside.
monmeehan, I think OXO makes something like what you're looking for:http://www.williams-sonoma.com/products/oxo-stainless-steel-ice-cream-scoop/I still swear by my xeroll though. I love that the handle can be heated, give it a shake and the scoop part warms just enough to easily scoop and release the ice cream.
